Short Bio
I was elected to the Common Pleas bench in November, 2014. As a prosecutor for 23 years, I tried more than 200 jury trials, and handled 22 death penalty cases. I have extensive experience with complex criminal and civil litigation which is essential to this position. My HOPE Drug court has received recognition and support from Portage County and our mental health and substance abuse treatment agencies. Along with other community leaders, we established the Paris work release program allowing inmates to work while incarcerated to pay court costs, child support, and save for housing once released. I am committed to Portage County and look forward to the next six years continuing to keep our communities safe.
